Friday Feels

Friday Feels

April 4, 2020

I’m pretty sure it’s Friday! A few things getting me through another week of social distancing…

One. I’ve been spending a lot of time in the kitchen (Greeks show their love by feeding people!!). It’s kept me busy and helps calm the anxiety of J working in the ER. Keeping him fed also feels like one small things I can do to help. I’ve been sending him off with an Immunity Booster Shot made with orange, lemon, garlic, ginger, honey, and turmeric. It’s SO GOOD, and so good for you.

Two. The Class is my go-to work out and it’s now live streaming so you can join from home. We could all use a little more movement while we’re *safe* at home and it’s so much more than just a good workout. I won’t give anything else away because I highly recommend going into it totally blind. My hope is that you come out seeing things much more clearly. I always do.

Three. My friends at Stitchroom have launched a MOVEMENT. They’ve organized an army of sewers who have made 2,500 masks so far and have another 13,000 in production. These masks can be used for lower-risk patient care situations to make medical masks more readily available for high-risk care. If you can sew, have materials or money to donate, or can spread the word, please do! I’m so very amazed by what these babes are doing.

Four. I can’t wait to get started on the The Upside of Being Down by Jen Gotch, the founder of Ban.do. She’s sharing her journey through life and running a business while navigating mental illness, and she does it with her signature humor and upbeat point of view. It seems so very relevant right now. Not to mention, her Instagram posts are giving me life.

Five. In Jenna Kutcher’s podcast this week, Small Business Stimulus Package Simplified, she and Casey Graham chat about everything you need to know about the Stimulus Package and how it can specifically help small businesses. Listening to this was the first time in weeks I felt some hope for and some control over the future of my business.

Stay well, and stay home!
